This publication offers articles, printable checklists, a care-card builder and an RSS feed. It has no reader accounts, newsletter signup, comments or advertising pixels.

Checklist selections

Checklist ticks are held temporarily in the page’s memory. We do not send them to a server or save them in browser storage. Reloading resets them; your browser may restore them if you navigate back. Printed copies are under your control.

Care-card answers

The care-card builder holds your answers only in the current page’s memory. It does not send them to us, put them in a URL, or save them in browser storage. Reloading clears them; your browser may restore them if you navigate back. Use “Clear this card” when you finish. Printing or downloading creates a copy under your control; share that copy only with the people who need it. Do not include keys, passwords or alarm codes.

Hosting requests

The hosting provider necessarily processes requests to deliver pages, including technical request information such as IP addresses and browser details. Operational logs and security processing are governed by the hosting provider and the publication’s business operator.

Traffic measurement

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand visits to our public pages, such as which resources are read and where visits come from. Vercel describes this service as cookieless analytics. It processes technical information about a visit, including browser, device and approximate location. Our page-view URLs exclude query strings and fragments. We do not send care-card answers or checklist selections, and we do not track custom events. Our integration honors browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

External pages and contact

Source links take you to other organizations’ websites, which have their own privacy practices. Our editorial contact link opens Hale Pet Door’s separate website; any information you submit there is handled through Hale’s contact process. Avoid including sensitive medical records or private household access details.
